The west side of Oahu needs no introduction... it's the shit. Ma'o Organic Farm hosted a small get together for their friends at Town Restaurant this past Sunday with the guys from V-Lounge providing the grub. Aker was pumping pizza out of the organic mud oven like clockwork while Chef Lindsey had his hands full with multiple dishes. First was the red wine and herb marinated skirt steak followed by the opakapaka sashimi drizzled with olive oil and lemon and topped with chili pepper, my personal favorite. There was no shortage of veggies including oven roasted eggplant and Hamakua mushrooms and finally the sauteed swiss chard. Sorry I was too busy eating everything and didn't take any pics of the dishes.
Mr. Vince came thru with some homemade tapioca for dessert.. ono. Last but not least was the paella with locally caught Uhu being prepared by the one and only Gooch... this guy brought the party for sure. This was definitely a nice way to spend a Sunday.. lots of family fun. Mahalo to Gary, Kukui and Kamu for their Aloha.
