Aloha all,
Glad to see the world survived the Tiff SB and Yeezy 2 madness... lol. I cringe at the thought of how enormous of an affect sneakers like these have on the world... Universe, please have mercy on mankind! haha!
Anyhow, very interesting interview this week! ...I'm sure the majority of you sneaker enthusiasts have came across Sneaker Gas Masks at some point, while sifting through the world wide web for pictures of your favorite sneakers. Great news; This OSNT blog post features the genius behind the whole operation! Check the interview below to learn what goes on in the mind of Gary Lockwood, a.k.a. Freehand Profit, who has been blessing Sneaker Culture with his art and innovation. As someone who partakes in attempting to customize sneakers, I most definitely have a deep respect for brother Gary; his attention to detail and endless creativity is more than a rarity! Enjoy!
Nike SB Blazer Premium SE - Light Ore - Wood Brown
There once was a time when I had such a strong love for Blazers... I really miss that. I think it's fun for myself (personally) to go through my sneaker collection and reminisce of all the different phases I've been through as a sneaker lover. These Blazers right here remind me of those days...
Nike KD 6 "Liger"
KD's are all starting to look the same to me...
Nike Zoom Sonic Flight - Black - Red
I've always loved these as a youngster, but it was always that one shoe I admired through the window... Don't really know why I never picked one up, but maybe I can finally find a nook in my closet for these.
Nike Free Flyknit 2
I'm digging all the new Flyknit stuff, but the rate they're debuting new silhouettes is too fast... I feel like I haven't had enough time to appreciate the last Flyknit runner that dropped...
Air Jordan 1 Retro KO High "Rival Pack"
Here come the two-packs again... I'll be honest and say I was never really a fan of the canvas-bodied AJKO's. I will more than likely pass on these, but I think the inspiration is pretty cool; UNC Tarheels and Georgetown Hoyas in the 80's... Such an epic rivalry.
Air Jordan 11 Low GS "Aqua Safari"
...Might as well been a TJ. Gah.
Air Jordan 4 Laser PE
Happy belated, MJ! ...Now, can I have these?! LOL. In all seriousness though, take a second to realize what Jordan has done for the world... I hope the amount on his checks are just as rare as these PE's that Jordan Brand gave him for his birthday...
Saucony Grid 9000
My first glance at these felt like a slap to the face! ..These are fire.
adidas Originals EQT Running Support "Oddity"
adidas Running Program has been doing a great job as of late. I really dig their weird color ways that seem to work so well. I haven't bought any adidas in a long while, but I think I'm gonna need to give these a go!
Asics Gel Saga "Koi"
Sagas aren't my favorite, but these are kinda interesting... I've been noticing their color ways are starting to look similar though...
Vans Half Cab Pro "Blackout"
Half Cabs have always been really good to me. All black is usually a bit too strong for me, but these I would wear...

Air Jordan "Toro IVs" Gas Mask by Freehand Profit
My brief background:
I never thought, despite a lifetime as an artist and designer, that I'd become a sculptor. But through a year long daily creative project in 2010 & 2011, I developed a whole new way of thinking. I've long combined my passion for Hip-Hop with my artwork, initially in the standard methods of depiction and documentation - portraits of influential artists, infusing Hip-Hop symbolism or style. However these masks created from the deconstruction of highly coveted sneakers also tap into Hip-Hop's creative process, like a DJ scratching a break beat, a producer sampling a groove or a graffiti artist twisting his letters into unique characters. Both the masks and the photography intertwine to form a much bigger picture, one influenced by artists like Sandy Skoglund, David LaChapelle, Brian Jungen and countless graffiti and street artists as well as the 4 decades of continually evolving Hip-Hop culture. My work explores issues of materialism from the point of view of a repenting sinner, both glorifying the object of desire (the sneaker) as well as sacrificing it on the artistic altar.

Nike Lebron X (10) Cork Gas Mask by Freehand Profit
My favorite mask I've created and why:
That's a tough call, most artists would describe it like picking their favorite kid. The Lebron IV Dunkman mask was a major milestone for me, even got it tattooed on my forearm. The new work holds a lot of promise for me, the Toro Bravo Jordan IV Mask is a great example of where I'm going to go from here so that holds a special place for me. The Lebron XI King's Pride mask is noteworthy too, that's one of the best examples of how I'd like the work to come together for the photo shoot.
A Look At Unreleased Masks - FREEHANDPROFIT.com 1/1/2014
How many years I've been in an affair with sneakers:
My love for kicks comes from my love of Hip-Hop. I didn't always have an exciting collection, it was always about having those staple pieces - the all white Uptowns, Timberland boots, Air Maxs, Adidas shelltoes... and then came the Jordans and then the SB Dunks. The mask work really changed the landscape of my collection as I expanded my taste to explore the possibilities that other sneakers held.

How many pairs I own:
Last count was about 120. To be honest I'm ready to thin the herd.
My Holy Grail:
The "Red Tails" Jordan 5 samples, 5s are my favorite from the Jordan line up and I'm a sucker for a vintage military feel - add in it's inspired by the Tuskegee Airmen and that suede ooOOWweee! Plus I really dig subtle tones with a pop of bright color.
My most despised footwear and why:
Fakes. Maybe that's too easy of an answer but as a creative, biters, fakes and knock-offs just piss me off.

Amazing sneaker-related story:
Leaving Thanksgiving dinner with friends and family to wait for the release of the Black Cement IIIs, sounds pretty standard but getting that pair to chop up for a mask was a big sacrifice at the time. My family thought I was crazy to go wait overnight for a pair of shoes I was going to "destroy" anyway. Like I said, nothing too out the mill for a "sneakerhead" but in the scheme of things that was a real game changer. Although I had already made more than 10 sneaker masks (even one from a pair of Jordan 1s) - that Black Cement III mask made a big impression on a lot of folks.
Nike SB x Supreme Dunk Gas Mask
If I had to choose ONE pair to wear for the rest of my life, it would be:
Guaranteed it'd be a pair of Air Max 90s. I've often been tempted to start collecting AM90s only, right now I'm anxious to UNDS my pair of Atmos "Tiger Stripe Camo" 90s (they're on ice until the photo shoot of the mask).
Changes or surprises I'm hoping for in the sneaker world:
There's a lot of potential as the sneaker community grows. I hope to see folks looking to innovate instead of chasing trends, both by the brands and by those of us buying and collecting. Of course I'd like to see the swelling of the resale market go down but I learned long ago not to knock the hustle. I want to see more people rocking their kicks and embracing the creases - a lot of kicks look even better broken in.

USMC Combat Book Gas Mask
A tip for my favorite footwear brand:
Fuck wit me! Haha, but seriously - Nike knows what they're doing, they're really on top of their game in my opinion. I'd like to see some different direction of new color ways from Jordan, maybe some interesting materials like what we see from Nike.

A question for Parkz:
Freehand Profit: What shoe do you think would make a dope mask?
Parkz: Damn... Good question! haha! Honestly, I don't think I could think of one particular sneaker that is better than any other; Your work is amazing no matter the shoe! However, I can tell you that I'd very much enjoy to see how you incorporate multiple pairs of sneakers into one single mask. Maybe a Bred 1 + Royal 1 combo? ...A mask of strictly Air Maxes? ...Or even a "What The Mask" mega production? That would be quite interesting and you're definitely the right person to pull it off! Aside all that, we do have some FITTED shoes coming soon that I'm sure would be amazing with your added creativity... *hint* haha! Thanks for the interview homie! Keep killin' the game!

WOW, what a year it's been, huh?! ...A lot of amazing releases and exciting drops! I'm sure all of you have quite the handful of new stories and fond memories that followed your 'sneaker hunting' this year. I couldn't possibly comprise a numbered list of my favorite 2013 drops, so I'm going to do this list a bit differently... I thought it'd be fun to categorize my personal favorite pick-ups this year and put it all together. By the way, it's okay if you don't agree... After all, this is my blog, right?! (:
I hope everyone has had as good and growthful year as I have... 2014 is looking upful! Enjoy life my friends!
Air Jordan Retro I 'Breds'
Awwwwwman! These right here are my ultimate joints! I see myself in these when I'm 80... If there's any shoe that I could permanently attach to my feet, it'd be these without question. If anyone has extra size 9's for a decent price, I'll take em... all.
Air Jordan Retro I 'Royals'
Who the hell doesn't like Royals?! ...Need I say more? Would've scooped 10+ if these weren't so damn limited!
Air Jordan Retro XI 'Breds'
The feeling of rocking a fresh pair of Bred 11's is quite amazing... The only gripe I have with 11's in general is that they require a tad bit more care than other sneakers. When these dropped this year, I definitely did not hesitate to pick up as many as I could. Glad I was able to lace up the family, including young Banks Boogie who rocks em harder than most! ...Hopefully someone will invent a ridiculously good sealant for taking out the annoying swirly scratches in patent leather; game changer.
Air Jordan Retro IV 'Toro'
I'm in love with these... The crispiness of the red synthetic nubuck is life changing (Don't mind my extremeness... lol). Such a solid color way for a non-original. Color looks amazing, they fit well, and surprisingly, I'm not too mad at the quality! Now I just gotta keep the creases out the toe box and I'm straight... Toro IV's for the win.
Air Jordan Retro V 'Black Grapes'
Grape V's are my all time favorite V's so it's natural for me to adore the black version. White version is clean, black version is hard; Gotta have both. Back in '06, the highlight of my year was opening the box to a full case of Grape Retros. I was lucky enough to have gotten through ordering 10 pairs off Eastbay (it was allowed back then) over the phone, then was even more lucky to get 2 more from a local retailer... Shoe hunting was definitely a lot different back then. Needless to say, I still have a few crispy '06's tucked away for a rainy day...
Air Jordan Retro V 'Fear Pack'
I'll start by saying the materials used on these is amazing. The cracked leather adds so much to the shoe without overdoing it. Olive and red always compliment each other... The gradient fade on the midsole was bugging me at first, but I think I'm slowly growing to like it. Speckles, dope; Black netting, dope. Best of the 3 Fears for me. Maybe a clear bottom next time instead of the ice blue though??
Nike Flyknit Chukka 'Wolf Grey'
Definitely my favorite color way of the general release Flyknit Chukka line... One of my favorite color combos is grey, red, and white, so you can obviously see why these appeal to me. Although flyknit are quite busy, these couldn't be cleaner. Not to mention, the comfort, weight, and shape of this shoe is perfect.
Nike Flyknit Trainer Multi
Bright but beautiful, these bad boys can accent the most boring of outfits perfectly. I do love the colors of the flyknit weave, however, I could've done without the blue stripe. The design of the overall shoe is amazing and the screen printed Swoosh is an interesting touch.
Nike Free Flyknit Multi
Such an interestingly different shoe, these intrigued me at first leak... Trying one on for the first time is quite different from slipping your foot in any other sneaker. Comfort while surprisingly sturdy, these definitely feel like a natural part of your body when wearing.
Atmos x Nike Air Max 90 'Camo Pack' Duck Camo / Infrared
With Air Max 90 Infrareds as my all time favorite 90, how can I not appreciate these in some way?! They are a bit flashy, but the black suede and Duck Camo additions accent this fine pair of runners quite nicely... I wish I stocked big on these!
Beams x Nike Air Max 1 PRM
What can I say...? Milans are cool... These are better. The color of the premium suede is a perfect tan, while the tonal upper lends itself to the cleanest look possible. The orange outer sole, tongue hit, and lace tips are lightly added to offer some excitement. I haven't laced up my pair yet, but you can bet these will feel good when I do!
Nike Air Max 1 Tiger Camo / Snake
In case you were wondering, these were fairly easy to pick up at Atmos in Tokyo... As my friend who sent these to me explained, these sat for a tiny bit once their opening line died down. Why? ...I don't know. I feel like all the Atmos colabs took a huge turn towards the hype as soon as these caught everyones attention... Anyhow, scooped doubles and wore one a few times. Thanks to my brother out there in JP for holding me down! They're a tad stiff due to the snake fabric, but they seem catch a lot of attention...
Cole Haan Lunargrand Chukka with Nike Lunar Technology
Since the Lunargrand, Cole Haan's have been my go-to's for any slightly formal attire. The comfort of these are amazing and the contrasting colors are always a nice addition to your outfit. They're a tad more costly than your regular sneakers/shoes, but well worth the price... Premium quality, premium look.
Nike Mayfly Woven
Such a simple shoe, but so many good things to say... First off, I love the comfortability of these. The soft and loose feel of the suede plus the cushiony sole always allow my feet to have a struggle-free day. The weight of these is crazy; They quite possibly weigh less than your favorite pair of beach slippers. When I'm in a rush to start my day, or I just can't decide what sneakers to wear, you can bet I'm walking out the door with these bad boys...
Nike Solarsoft Mocassin Floral
Funny thing about these is that I actually despised the use of floral on them upon first judgement. For some odd reason I decided to give them a go because I've never owned a Solarsoft Moc before... As tacky as the print is, I've realized it matched the silhouette quite nicely and is weirdly interesting enough to set off a casual outfit. "Boogie Boots," I call em...
Stussy x Nike ACG Trainerendor 'Black'
I am thoroughly impressed at the strength of the 3M Reflective on these. I'm so glad these kinda just creeped into the lineup without much hype. Huge thank you to my lady who picked one up for me as part of my X-mas gift, and also my good homie who helped her out with that (you know who you are)! If these didn't make it into my closet, I'd definitely lose sleep over em... If I'm being honest though, I wished Nike matched the Swoosh color to the lining a bit better. Stussy was on point to hit a colab with these early!
Nike N7 Free Forward Mocassin
Such an interesting sneaker... How they pulled this off, I don't know. Slept on by so many people, and I can't figure out why... Sure they're funky, but wouldn't you agree that it's in a good way?! To be honest though, I dug the cream colored WMNS version a lot better than these... Maybe I should've chanced the skinnier fit of the WMNS one too... Meh.
Supreme x Nike SB Dunk Low
How was Supreme able to make me interested in SB's again?! Oh yeah, these... I had a deep, deep love for SB's once so when these released, it felt good to reminisce on that. Good quality, nice color way, respected brand colab; check. Thanks to my dude out in JP for helping me with these... Lifesaver.
TOP 3 ASICS OF 2013:
Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel-Lyte III 'Volcanos'
Man oh man oh man oh man I love these! I was stressin' hard when I couldn't scoop upon original release! Although I know a few people who disagree, to me, these have all the right colors in all the right places... Gotta love the salmon, neon orange, and navy hits on the ever-classy deep red! ...Not to mention the comfortability of the GLV! Thank you brother John over at Truest for one of my top favorites of 2013!
Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel-Lyte III 'Flamingos'
Another ridiculously good color way here by Ronnie Fieg... When I look at these, I feel just the right amount of cleanliness with a hint of sturdiness. Then there's the rope laces... gawd. I'm so glad to have these in my lineup!
Asics Gel-Lyte V 'White / Purple'
Such and underrated sneaker... why?! I swear I over-wore them when they first touched down on my doorstep! Yes, they are annoyingly hard to keep clean, but that's the name of the game...
CNCPTS x New Balance 998 'Mint'
One of three I HAD to get this year... 998's are amongst my all time favorite NB silhouettes so naturally I was excited when I first seen them. The concept is dope, color way is dope, materials are ill; How could I sleep?! I thank CNCPTS for blessing the world with these...
Ronnie Fieg x New Balance 1600 'Daytona'
I honestly wasn't too excited about these when they released the photos... Could've possibly been that I was caught up in a ridiculously busy time of the year. Anyhow, I was lucky enough to pick one of these up from my good homie @took_HNLA and they've consistently been a part of my daily outfits. The softness of this shoes interior is indescribable! Very impressed that these were constructed in Asia...
Ubiq x New Balance 1600 'The Benjamin'
I love me some 1600's... The beautiful brown leather accents really make this shoe for me. Overall clean color blocking utilizing primary colors... Kilt.
Air Jordan Retro V 'Doernbecher'
Busy busy busy, but amazing... These definitely upped the level of capability and execution with Jordan Brand. Who the hell does a blacklight sneaker that comes with a blacklight flashlight?!
Sneaker Freaker x Puma Blaze of Glory 'Sharkbait'
I haven't been able to see one in person, but the tumbled leather look amazing... The color was a bit played out this year, but these rock it well. The gold hits were a nice touch along with the stellar packaging. Too bad the hype killed my chances of owning one at retail price...
CNCPTS x New Balance 998 'C-Note'
CNCPTS hit it on the nose with these... Anyone with a 8.5 or 9 for sale, please let me know! Like the new $100 C-Note, these have tremendously grown on me and should be sitting in my closet, right next to my Tannery Mints...
Nike HTM Flyknit Chukka 'Blue Glow'
Flyknit is such an amazing invention... The blueish grey mixture of these make me cry! HTM, PLEASE offer your talents to the general public!!! GAH.
Sneakersnstuff x Milkcrate x New Balance 577
Top notch cleanliness. Tonal greys never seem to disappoint me... Funny thing is, I had no idea these even dropped! ...Where was I?!
West NYC x New Balance 580 "Alpine Guide Edition'
I hesitated because it was a 580... Big mistake. This color way is too crackin! Should've been a no-brainer for me... *shrug*
24Kilates Le Coq Sportif Flash
Le Coq's don't get much appreciation out here in Hawaii and I think that should change... This color way right here is nasty. I have yet to pick up my first pair; these should've been it.
Bodega x New Balance 577 'Hyprcats'
A bit colorful at first glance, but the colors work well... I really like that grey cotton mid upper with rainbow specks; nice touch. 577's aren't my favorite, but these go...
Saint Alfred x Asics Gel-Lyte III
I just plain slept on these like a fool... GREAT color palette and very unique. Good job STA...
CNCPTS x Asics Gel-Lyte III 'Three Lies'
I should've grabbed them when I had the chance... What was I thinking debating these? However, just as I predicted, the pictures of these were a tad misleading. In person, the suede and toe box color wasn't as vibrant, but I didn't quite mind. The speckle overload is actually pretty cool too...

Ronnie Fieg x New Balance 1600 Daytona
Awwwsetttt... Neapolitan for dat azzzzz...
Band of Outsiders x Vans Authentic
I love mis-matched pairs! Please do more!
Nike Air Max 93+ Air Huarache "Teal Pack" Size? Exclusive
These guys are pretty solid about steadily releasing good color ways in decent silhouettes. I respect.
Nike WMNS Dunk Super Sky Hi - Black
For all those ladies lovin' them Sky Hi Wedges, why not go 'super?!' Haha
Nike Lebron 11 "Dunkman"
Looks like it could be an Oregon inspired color way... Is it me, or has Nike been capitalizing off their home team lately?!
Nike Air Diamond Turf "Purple Dynasty"
I love colored patents as they're rarely used, and this shoes does a good job of flaunting just enough it to have a pinch of pizzaz.
Nike Blazer Mid PRM - Granite - Metallic Silver - White
I love it all except the chrome-ish Swoosh... Something about Melton Wool that gives me a warm, fuzzy, and clean feeling. The tongue tag is a very nice touch too...
Nike SB Dunk Low "Wool"
Another wool joint... tight.
Nike Air Force 1 Low "Brown Canvas"
I don't care for the tiny gold eyelets below the Swoosh, but the shoes are still clean. Earthy funk.
DJ Clark Kent x Nike SB P-Rod 7 Hyperfuse Max
I don't like the silhouette, but you can't be mad at the signature Clark Kent color way...
Nike Snowboarding LunarENDOR QS

I'll admit I put forth a tiny effort to picking up the Jordan Cement III inspired Snow Boots Nike released a while back, although I seldom get a chance to go on a snowboarding trip... Anyway, these are pretty cool but maybe a little over the top. Dope product video...
OLD SOLE, NEW TRICKS INTERVIEW: Jon de Leon | Enthusigrapher
Jonathan de Leon
Nickname / AKA:
Jon de Leon, JdL
Waipahu, Hawaii
Shoe size:
My hustle:
Sales associate for six years. Slanging tees out of my trunk for two.
How many years I've been in an affair with sneakers:
It's been an on and off relationship for about eight years now. The past two years has been the best though.
How many pairs I own:
+/- 80 pairs
My Holy Grail:
The highly unattainable for whatever reason, Miami Night Lows. This is the shoe that sparked my interest in shoes again and have been a fan since before the hype. I see the shoe everywhere but the prices are quite high. I'm not trying to buy a DS pair for $1500+ when I know I'm going to beat the hell out of them!
Currently hunting for:
Size 10.5/11 Miami Night Lows for a decent price. :)
My most despised footwear and why:
I wouldn't say I despise any footwear. I'm a true believer of the phrase, "To each his own." I do despise attitudes tho.
If I had to choose ONE pair to wear for the rest of my life, it would be:
It's between some Roshe Runs and AM90's. If it's a pair to wear for the rest of my life, comfort > hype
Amazing sneaker-related story:
I was with the homies AJ (@ajizzalot) and Patrick (@seven7wenty) were meeting up Bigg Quan to sell a shirt or some shoes or something. We were talking story and just as usual, we ask Quan if he's selling more shoes. He says that he's about to sell a whole lot on HSS and asks us if we wanna see it. We say yeah and next thing we know, he takes out 26 pairs and laid it on the stairs next to his apartment, snaps a picture of everything in front of and us and tells us that if we want everything, we can buy everything right then and there for $600. We look at each other, start counting our money, and notice we were short (keeping in mind it's about midnight and we didn't have plans to go out anywhere anyway). We tell him that we will be back the next day and we scoop everything up. We bring it back to my house and we take the picture and look at all the shoes. We try to find a way to figure out who is getting what so the three of us pulled numbers and we all got to pick our shoes in that order. We each walked away with 6-7 pairs for a steal price.
Changes or surprises I'm hoping for in the sneaker world:
I know it will never happen, but I always think of how it would be like without any hype. Looking at all these highly anticipated shoes, I think of how crazy people can be when it comes to rare and limited sneakers. People are willing to drop racks on shoes because it's a bit more limited than others? If companies just spent a bit more money to produce more sneakers, people would be buying from the company instead of resellers and the profits would go into the company instead of other people. But if everyone has access to the same shoes, individuality will supposedly die and you'll see everyone rocking the same kicks.
A tip for my favorite footwear brand:
I don't mean to single a certain company out but I remember a Nike tweet mentioning that they had a commitment to fairness. If you want to be fair, you need to get rid of the bots. How? Captcha codes. You also want to be fair? Shoes drop online at 8am EST. That's 2am or 3am here. I don't like waking up at 1:55 to buy shoes but I do it anyway. Thanks.
Additional comments, shout-outs, big ups:
Shoutout to the Man above for everything. Thanks to JJ Parkz for the opportunity of an interview! Shout out to the HSSBU Elites for keeping it real. Also, the #SniperSix photography team, the Elite Photographers team (@ElitePhotographers on IG), HSS, SGHI, HSH. Shout out to the homies in the mainland of Chill Back N Kick It! Special thanks to Juan of Aloha Hype (@alohahype on IG) and Tasha (@LoveTasha on IG). Always appreciate your support for my tees! And of course, my wonderful girlfriend, Brittney, for always supporting my habits, hobbies, and addictions. Thank you all for your undying support and love!

Email: jonathanmdeleon@gmail.com
A question for Parkz:
JdL: With you selecting people to interview, when are you going to grace us with an interview of yourself? I'm sure others would also appreciate to hear some of your answers to these questions as well!
Parkz: Oh man... I always dreaded this question popping up... haha! I often tend to be a bit shy/quiet about myself; I enjoy the beauty and romance of mystery. Ask AlohaHype how I feel about interviews and he'll tell you... LOL. All silliness aside though, I'm sure it's bound to happen some day... Thanks for sharing your story, Jon! It was fun! Peace!

Aloha all,
Getting more and more excited for the DXC this weekend! I hope to see all of you fellow sneaker lovers out there!
As for this weeks interview, I'd like to introduce a humbly quiet, yet deadly Instagram personality, @dk_nmdc! Please be sure to read his views and thoughts below! Have a great rest of your week!
Nike Zoom MW Posite "Safari"
This new and futuristic silhouette continues to interest me... I'm never one for "trail type" boot sneakers, but I really appreciate the direction and evolution that Nike is taking with these.
Nike Air Huarache LE - Black - Laser Orange - Fuchsia
The design of all Huaraches have always been such an amazement to me... They look so different from everything else.; surely ahead of their time when they first released!
Nike Air Foamposite Pro "Spiderman"
...NO. Why?!
Air Jordan 11 - Black - Gamma Blue - Varsity Maize
I still don't know how I feel about the hit of Varsity Maize on the tongue label and heel... I'll probably scoop and black it out... haha
Air Jordan VI - White - Infrared - Black
Is it me, or does the Infrared look really bright this time around???
Stash x Reebok Question
I wonder why he chose the Questions... Interesting, but not for me. Questions will always have a special place in my heart, but only in White with the Ice Blue bottoms...
Reebok Workout Plus "Gore-Tex"
Gore-Tex is always tight... Color placement is good on these too.
Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals "Holiday Bears"
Am I the only one that thinks Jeremy Scott is way too over the top?!
Isolda x Converse "Brazilian Print" Collection
Hats off to this project! Finally, ill all-over prints that aren't labeled aloha wear!!!
Deluxe x Vans Era 10th Anniversary
Nappy suede! Also loving the simplicity of the shoe, despite its attention to detail... The texture on the front of the sole and the touch of color on the heel are both wins.
J.Crew x New Balance 1400 "Dark Royal"
J.Crew always seems to do a good job at offering great colorways... Gotta admit I was ridiculously close to 'impulse-buying' their  latest 998 NB collab a few days ago...
Burn Rubber x New Balance 557 "Joe Louis"
Tough. Clean. Classy. Something about black and brown combos that always adds a 'richness' to the feel for me.

My hustle:
Production Manager (9-5, pays the bills), Nomaddic (www.nomaddic.com)
How many years I've been in an affair with sneakers:
Just about 10 years
How many pairs I own:
approx 200 +/-
My Holy Grail:
Always wanted FLOM's (Nike SB x Futura). Aside from the sheer rarity of the shoe, the concept and design of it is what takes the cake. If anyone has an 8.5 or 9 any condition, hit me up!
My most despised footwear and why:
All the fakes/B-grades floating around that flood the market. They're getting so good that it is damn near impossible to know for sure unless you buy from an authorized dealer. It really takes the fun out of collecting.
Currently hunting for:
Too many to list, but at the top of my list are: FLOM (8.5 or 9), Supas, Mulders, and Lodens. Size 9!
If I had to choose ONE pair to wear for the rest of my life, it would be:
I ask myself this question almost every day and I can never come up with an answer. It would most likely be a pair of dunk lows. They look good beat and will never crumble. (sorry Jordan heads)
Amazing sneaker-related story:
I was actually waiting in line overnight in LA (pre-raffle/RSVP/list era) for the YOTR Air Jordan 7 with my boy @sol3society. An hour before the mall opens, a caravan of about 13 cars swings into the parking lot. A mob of dudes walk up to the line and claim, "We were actually first in line. We were waiting in our cars across the freeway." They apparently knew the security guards because they were all admitted into the mall before it was opened. Of course it upset everyone in line, phone calls were made, and gang references were exchanged. At that point, we looked at each other and simultaneously walked to the car to bounce.
Changes or surprises I'm hoping for in the sneaker world:
I would definitely like to see some more releases with premium materials/collabs/stories. I am sure this is what 99% of the community is feeling as well.
A tip for my favorite footwear brand:
Additional comments, shout-outs, big ups:
Shout out to all the good people I have met thus far via sneakers on IG, facebook, etc etc etc. You know who you are; there are too many people to list. I look forward to meeting more! Also, my homie Rolo AKA @dunksrnice collaborated with me on a dope collection photoshoot. These are now outdated photos because I was able to acquire much more after the shoot, but they are still sick shots! These were used for a special project with Fully Laced SF and printed on canvases. Check him out! www.dunksrnice.net

DK NOMADDIC: Thanks so much Jared for the opportunity and hospitality, I love what you and your crew at Fitted are doing. No questions here :)
Parkz: Much appreciated, Sir!

Aloha all,
I'm starting to get anxious for the weekend due to a few big drops I've been looking forward to... Don't say I didn't warn you! Lol. Hopefully I'll be able to play my cards right and walk away with a little happiness served in cardboard boxes.
For this weeks OSNT Interview, I'd like to proudly present a beard who needs no introduction, the god, the myth, the legend, Mr. Erick Reichard! I've known this good sir for many many years as he was kind enough to keep a young, lost sneakerhead (myself) company in line at Niketown Honolulu back, back in the day... Your'e not gonna want to miss this interview (bottom)! Have a great rest of your week!
Nike Flyknit Lunar1+ - Team Orange - Laser Orange - Sail
Two-tones are alright, but multis are where it's at! More multis please!!!
Nike Air Max 1 FB "Quilted Leopard"
Nike Air Max 1 Premium - Gamma Blue - Brave Blue - Atomic Pink
Loving this color way... Nice balance and the added speckle on the front midsole is just enough detail to bump this pair up a few notches...
Size? x Nike Roshe Run "Elephant Print" Teaser
Another Size? collab?! These guys are non stop! Anyhow, I was a little on the fence about the last Roshe collab they did, but when I saw them in person, I knew I made a mistake by sleeping on em... These are looking cool, but nothing really excites me enough to exhaust my efforts by reaching to UK for a pair. We shall see if I'm wrong again...
Nike Air Trainer I "Infrared" and Nike Air Trainer II "Persian Violet"
Boy oh boy do I love my Trainers! ...Especially in good color ways such as these! Crisp.
Nike Air Huarache - Team Red / Volt
Take away the pattern and you've got yourself a deal...
Nike Air Force 1 Low CMFT "Penny Hardaway"
...And Nike continues to push limits with the all-time classic Air Force 1. Not for me, but these are better than a lot of others I've seen...
Nike Air Trainer Max '94 - Multi Color Safari
Funky! ...I dig! I usually like things that are different... I appreciate the riskiness of it.
Nike Air Raid "Peace" Retro
I've always wanted a pair of Raids, but never actually got a chance to scoop one I cared for... These are pretty cool.
Hanon x Onitsuka Tiger Teaser
Uh oh...
Head Porter Plus x Reebok Classic Leather
You can tell by my rotation of wallets that Head Porter is on my favorites list as I truly believe their craftsmanship and design in relation to cost is pretty close to bar none. Not sure if I particularly care for these Reeboks, but it definitely showcases a Japanese flare... Hoping to see more sneaker collaborations pop up with these guys!
atmos x Jouetie x Reebok Insta Pump Fury
Damn... I remember getting a few interesting looks when I used to rock Insta Pump Fury's back in the day... I think those days are over for me, but nevertheless, glad to see them popping up more often!
Oshman's x New Balance 1600
I love how the 1600's look so technical, yet still maintain the utmost level of cleanliness. The design of New Balances lend themselves nicely to almost any decent color palette... amazing.
Vans Sk8-Hi Pro "Outdoor"
The detail on these are phenomenal...
adidas Y-3 Qasa Racer
As usual, I'd love to own a few Y-3 Qasa's, but cant convince myself to embrace the tag price...
Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte V "Volcano"

Amazing sneaker-related story:
I'd say 2001 maybe 2002, I was on lunch break from work and decided to stop in Razor Sports Pearlridge (or whatever it was called) I see a 1994 Air Jordan 1 retro box on the shelf behind cash register, its says $20 on it. I think, cool I would maybe buy that box for $20. I ask the cashier to see the box, she hands me the box and it has a DS pair of 1994 Air Jordan 1 Blk/Red in it!!! She then tells me she has 3 more in the back O_O She bring them out and its a DS 1994 Chicago 1 another DS Blk/Red 1 & A 1994 Air Jordan 2 Chicago colorway!!!! Needless to say I could not pay her fast enough....
Changes or surprises I'm hoping for in the sneaker world:

A question for Parkz:
The Beard: Seriously tho, how many damn shoes u got???????
Parkz: Ayeeeeee... Don't ask me such personal questions, Erick! haha! I personally don't care to share these kind of things with others as I think it sometimes ruins the mysteriousness of the situation, BUT, since you've answered this same Q for this interview, I guess it's fair that I give you ballpark figures... Back in '06 (ish), we actually met during what I consider my "quantity prime" when I believe the height of my collection may have reached somewhere around 6... That included the easily obtainable cases of every Jordan Retro, as well as random Nikes, Nike SB's, Reeboks, Asics, adidas Originals, New Balance, Vans, Clarks, Pumas, and other various brands. All sizes; Mens, Womens, and Kids. At some point in '07/'08 I began to realize that my love for sneakers had grown uncontrollable and unnecessary. Getting constant reminders to get rid of stuff from my mother was becoming annoying and I could barely support such a lifestyle. Basically, I sold and gave away A LOT of pairs and I'm currently at a few hundo... Most of which I appreciate and wear. There's seldom a storage day that you'd be able to find a deadstock pair in my collection, unless they're doubles, triples, etc... Thanks for the question! ...Now you owe me a sandwich. HAHA!
