I was fortunate enough to be invited on a quick trip to the small island of Lana'i this past weekend. With very little knowledge of Lana'i, I was pretty excited because this was the only island that I've never had the opportunity of visiting; I've always wanted to visit all eight islands, but we all know that's a little hard! One of the best parts of this trip to Lana'i was actually getting there. We flew over on a private plane with about six seats, courtesy of our pilot Frank Baker. It was definitely one of the craziest flights ever, seeing everything up close; sitting in the cockpit and having a semi-panoramic view, feeling the turbulence up close, listening to the conversations between the pilot and the airport. Lana'i is a very beautiful place that I encourage everyone to visit, with two world class resorts, lush green surroundings and beautiful beaches. This is definitely a place to come & relax, the people are extra friendly. It's also a great way to support local businesses, being that the island is so minute. Big Mahalos to Frank Baker, Lanai (the DJ), Topher, Doc, Aunty Helen Tabura, The Four Seasons Lana'i at Manale Bay and Koele Lodge!
