Aloha all,
So recently, I've been getting asked how or where I hunt for sneakers online... Being that the market is quite crazy for buying sneakers here locally, I've somewhat fell into conditioning myself into becoming an online deal hunter, and have learned to let really good sneakers go due to them somehow getting caught in the crosshairs of hype (making them ridiculously hard to get). On the other side of all that, because certain pairs fall into the grimelight, it leaves many underrated pairs sitting comfortably for me to scoop up! It's a shame that appreciative connoisseurs have to battle for what they love these days, only to often lose to some lucky, spoiled or blinded "cool guy." Anyhow, for today's OSNT post, I've comprised a quick and humble list of a few deals I would go for... All sneakers listed below are accompanied by a link or two to the site you can still find them at retail price or lower. I've also spent a quick second to add a few for the ladies... I hope my choices aren't too biased for your liking as I consciously made an effort to skip the hyped crap... Enjoy.

Aloha all,
Today's OSNT features the last part of the "Hoopin' and Sneakers" video interview series... I know it was long, but I really wanted to emphasize that there's importance in knowing what you're wearing... Whether you like shoes for their technical aspects, history, etc., all self-titled 'sneaker enthusiasts' should have a basic knowledge of what they're enthused about, right?! haha. Anyhow, I've been noticing a plethora of new running sneaker consumers bandwagoning the market lately... Just a few words: As long as you grow genuine, I won't be upset at you making my chances harder at getting releases I want. lol. Besides all the good runners dropping, I feel JB is starting to mellow out a bit due to their willingness to over-saturate a ridiculously stretched market. Are we soon approaching the end of a full circle? SB love slowly reviving? ...We shall see!
P.S. - To the very few of you who repeatedly stumble upon these OSNT posts for a midweek kick, I'd love to hear all your ideas / criticism / thoughts, or even see cool photos pertaining to sneakers... OSNT has been a fun and interesting learning experience thus far and I will never shy away from growing its enjoyability for all of you... jared@fittedhawaii.com Cheers!

Aloha all,
Well... It's seems like this is my 23rd Old Sole, New Tricks post... It's hard to believe I've had the blessing of interviewing so many interesting people and friends within the sneaker community. It's been fun so far and I can't wait for the interviews ahead! With that being said, I've had the pleasure of interviewing another friend of mine this week, who continues to do big things for not only the Sneaker World, but for urban culture as well... Please make sure to catch my walaʻau session with Curtis "Dirty Curty" Brown of the DXC (Dunkxchange) internationally traveling sneaker and entertainment show below!
Also, in case you've missed the previous DXC events out here in Hawaii, here's the flyer for the next one coming up on the 17th... This one is going to be HUGE!

Air Jordan 1 AJKO - 2014 Retro
Why do I feel like JB retro's AJKO's every year?! Classic shoe, nevertheless...
Air Jordan 6 GS "Infrared"
My lady is gonna be quite happy about these releasing in Grade School sizes...
Jordan 6 Rings "Elephant" - Black - Orange - Navy

Nike Doernbecher 2013 Collection
New collection of Doernbecher's coming up! Like majority of you, my favorites are the Jordan X's and Foams...
Nike Air Max 1 "Night Run" - Summit White - Black - Volt
All these "new-aged" looking runners are starting to burrow quite a niche in the sneakerworld these days... Nonetheless, I always enjoy evolution.
Nike NSW Free Trainer 5.0 - Grey - Pink
I like things that are different... Not too fancy, not too boring. Might need a pair of these for the closet...
Nike Air Max 90 SneakerBoot NS - Royal Blue - Black
Seems like they're pushing these SneakerBoots pretty hard... Speckle love with a 3M flare... tight.
Pendleton x NIKEiD Collection
Been a big fan of Pendleton for a long time now and glad to finally see Nike working with them steadily now...
BEAMS x Nike Blazer Mid VNTG
Another BEAMS quickstrike? ...Was lucky enough to receive a pair of their last Nike Air Maxes so I think I'm cool on these.
Packer Shoes x Saucony Hangtime "Snake"
Another upcoming sneaker collaboration with Packer Shoes... Teaser looks dope. Can't wait to see the whole project!
DQM x Vans "Herringbone Twill" Pack
Loving the 'distressed' look here... The premium laces are a really nice addition as well.
WHIZ LIMITED x mita sneakers x New Balance MRT580
Star-shaped perforations and premium leather with a contrasting stitch?! Word.
Converse Aero Jam
I guess it's never too late to join the party, right? Old school hoop sneakers are the shizz...
Asics GT-II - Navy - Grey - Red
Please please pleeease keep the pebble leather as a constant, Asics!!! These are too clean!
Asics Gel Lyte III - Maroon - Blue
Another favorite of mine from Asics new line of Gels...
OLD SOLE, NEW TRICKS INTERVIEW: Curtis Brown | International Sneaker Ambassador, Organizer of Cool, Oil to the Machine
Curtis Brown
Nickname / AKA:
Dirty Curty but my brothers call me Curt.
Shoe size:
My hustle:
I am Co Owner of the DXC (Dunkxchange), one of the creators of the new lifestyle event Park and Wreck, and Co Founder of Rushmore Trading Co.
photo 3
About DXC:
The DXC was founded in 2005 as a function to help eliminate the fakes around the marketplace. It was a way for the consumer to see the product in person and take part in a live buy, trade, and sell environment. Essentially it was a live EBAY/Niketalk/ISS for all the OG heads that read this. We started in Brea, CA in a little spot called Bar 330. Really, it was never intended to set the standard for the buy, trade, and sell industry and we never expected to have so many people come. We felt it was going to be a local thing and let our friends and fellow shoe people get together to have a safe place to do business.
The next DXC Hawaii Event is Nov 17th at the Blaisdell Expo Hall (More information at the top)
How many years I've been in an affair with sneakers:
I can't call it an affair because everyone has known about my love for kicks. It all started in about 5th grade when I got my first pairs of jordans. I couldn't sleep the night before school because I was so excited to wear em.
How many pairs I own:
At one point, over 500. Through theft and selling some of them, I'm down to about 300 or a little more.
My Holy Grail:
Hmmmmm... Has to be the Jordan 11. I think that is about 75% of the worlds favorite sneaker, but I have my own reasons. Growing up, I would go home from school and watch WGN, the local Chicago station back in the day. They broadcasted all the Bulls games and I was able to see all the Jordans. I dont even think it is around anymore, and if it is, it's no longer broadcasted around the country. I remember one day I caught wind of the Jordan 11 Concords. I think I saw them in a magazine and I was in love. I showed my mom and she laughed and said there's no way she'd get them for me because patten leather cracks. I made sure that I defied her by doing all the research I could and called all the nike stores around to line up my pair. I pretty much did a report for my mom showing her they wouldn't crack and why I really needed them. That was the most effort I have done on anything up to that point. It was pure dedication and it was all because that shoe was, and still is my favorite.
My most despised footwear and why:
Hmmm... I dont like those shoes that look like you have just a sock on and it has toes on them. I really think they are ugly and pointless. Just rock it natural if you want to do something like that.
Currently hunting for:
1st series SBs in a 12 or 13 and that is all.
If I had to choose ONE pair to wear for the rest of my life, it would be:
I would probably choose the Koston 1s. I live in them and wear them everyplace I go. I rocked my all black ones in a wedding and wear them to all the events; You name it, I have been to it in the Kostons. They are just super clean, simple, and comfortable. Something so comfortable and dope looking doesn't usually work, but I think Nike got it perfect on that one.
Amazing sneaker-related story:
I coach High school basketball. I have had the privilege of working with kids for the past 10 years plus. Every so often you come across someone in need and who cant afford sneakers. Because of the position I am in, I have been able to become friends with people at various brands. About a year ago I was up on the Nike Campus and I was talking with a couple of my friends in the basketball department. My coaching came up and we starting to talk about kids who can play but come from a harder background than most. At that time I had a kid on my team who had no support from home, but was a great kid. He was super smart and well behaved, but he was playing in running shoes with no grip. I brought that up to the Nike guys and they gave me some sample basketball shoes in his size, along with a few pairs of elite socks so he could have something to play in. It was a great experience to know that the Nike guys and I were able to make a kids day.
Changes or surprises I'm hoping for in the sneaker world:
I really want a change in the way the young kids do things and the way the new people who are not young, do things. The young kids come up with the mentality of making money and following trends. They have no education on what they have on, why it was created, who wore it, and the story behind it. I want the young kids to know what and why they are buying things and to buy them for the love and not money. When the DXC started, things were so different. With the older cats, its only about the love. The new guys who are over 25 or 30 that are getting into sneakers now are doing it for the dollars. I get bothered by that because it takes away the ability for people who actually want them for a reason, to be able to get them.
A tip for my favorite footwear brand:
Please sponsor my events. Thank you.
photo 1
photo 2
Additional comments, shout-outs, big ups:
I feel like I'm Bryant gumble giving my little closing comment on that HBO sports show haha. The culture has taken a huge turn for the worst, all because people who are in control of the shoes have allowed it to happen. If stores would stop selling 30 pairs at a time to people, I think resellers would not be so common and more people could get things they wanted. I hope that the culture starts to regognize it; Not just the OGs, but the young kids too. The new guys are the face of our culture now. When the DXC started, most of the kids who attend the events were about 6 or 7 years old they knew nohting about what we did back in the day. Also, I still feel they dont know the true meaning of a sneaker head. I just hope things change for the better and as a group of people who are dedicated to this culture, we can start to change things up a little.
I wouldnt be able to say any of this if it wasnt for the first years of the DXC; The people who truly made this happen. Gary, my business partner, for one and all the heads who started with us. Jeff from Rif, Rodney, White Chris, the Twins, Robert from ISS, Charles from Hater Kicks, Frank from the old brand Feetus, and all the others I can't name. It has been one hell of a ride and has taken me places I have never dreamed of going... Sneakers did that. Its really amazing to think that, and I am blessed to have a lot of people I call friends because of what I put on my feet.

Aloha all!
How'd the "Fear Pack" go for everyone? Hope you all had golden tickets! Anyway, earlier this week I had the pleasure of participating in an interview with a good friend and loyal FITTED customer (for as long as I can remember), Jay Crisologo. Please be sure to go check out his blog, ELECTRIC BAMBOO; you may even be able to catch a sneak peek of an up and coming FITTED hat, who knows?! On the other side of things, I was lucky enough to have brother Jay participate in this weeks OLD SOLE, NEW TRICKS Interview (below)! Make sure to scroll down and check it out! Have a nice week everyone!
Concepts x Sperry Top-Sider CVO Tie Dye
Although I've never owned this specific Sperry silhouette, I've always been a fan of their quality and appeal. On the Concepts end of this project, I really appreciate how they often bring light to a bit more underrated sneakers. The vibrant contrasting colors of this collaboration utilize two of the primary colors to provide a pleasing addition to any outfit. Concepts does it again...
Nike Dunk Free "Arago"
Different... and I like it. Releasing on August 29th at 21 Mercer in NYC.
KangaROOS Rage "Camo Pack"
WOW! Did ROOS finally just show up to the party?! Funny story... A really really good friend of mine (who now lives in Japan) would always swear by ROOS for the longest time. I never could understand it, but I guess he just couldn't get over the coolness of it having a pocket... Haha! I always thought it was pretty funny, yet his loyalty to the brand was admirable... I think I'll try to hunt these down and send him a pair or two for 'kicks...' Get it?! Lol
Converse First String Jack Purcell "Boro"
I've always known Jack Parcel to be some of the cleanest, classy, and conservative everyday sneakers... To see these emerging excites me. Very interesting techniques and fabrics while maintaining a beautiful image; Approve.
New Balance 1400 "Classic Grey"
Pleeeease tell me these are releasing here in the states! How ridiculously elegant are these?!
Bodega x New Balance 577 "HYPRCAT"
A bit busy, but I still really like them. Great choice of fabrics and color placements... Very well balanced sneaker. Soon to release over at Bodega.
Nike LeBron 11 "Terracotta Warrior"
The LeBron 11 is quite the successor to the 10 with a freshly technical and futuristic look. Being the Retro lover that I am, it was quite hard for me to acquaint myself with this silhouette at first, but I've grown to realize that these will play an important role in the evolution of sneaker design. I really like that these feature fresh and vibrant colors without it being too overbearing, but I don't think i can say the same for the millions of patterns that keep this shoe looking busy... Anyhow, good job on these "LeBron Team!"
Air Jordan V "Fire Red"
Although I'm a little upset that Jordan Brands eagerness to retro classic colorways is more than a bit pushy now, but I'm glad that these made it on the release calendar this year. I've never quite been a fan of reflective tongues, so naturally these and the "Grapes" are amongst my favorite V's... It's a bit of a drag that I haven't even wore my 06's, but it's always fun to compare quality and fabric differences... I guess. Lol.
Air Jordan V GS (Kids)
Please do not brag about these if you are over the age of 5 and have these on... Retro Jordan's should not have the same look and feel as Team Jordan's... Just my opinion.
Air Jordan 1 Skinny High GS (Kids)
Clot x Nike Air Max 1 SP
I can honestly say that one of my top 3 Air Max 1's are the clear toe Clots that released seven years ago… With that being said, I'm more than glad that they're finally doing another collaboration in this specific shoe. The ice bottom, speckled midsole, and beautifully embroidered back logo is more than enough to keep these circulating in my cluttered mind… A little weird, but the feet on the bottom of the soles are definitely Clot's touch.
Nike SB "Send Help 2"
Screen Shot 2013-08-26 at 11_06_59 AM
The orginal "Send Helps" were definitely one of my favorite SB Dunk Hi's ever... I like the idea of a second version, but I don't quite think this one competes with the first. Looks fancy and colorful enough for todays trends though... Lol.
Nike WMNS Air Pegasus '83 - Atomic Pink
My lady is gonna bug out over these... I may have just set myself up by putting em up on here. Haha! It's all good though because these deserve to be on here as much as my lady deserves these shoes... I'm aware of all the newer Pegasus silhouettes coming out in a million color ways, but please bring back more '83's Nike!!!
Nike Air Trainer 1 Mid Premium NPCE QS
Love the silhouette, but I don't care for the design… Nike, please bring back more Trainers!!!

I've been able to buy a pair of sneakers by saving enough Coke Reward Points to redeem for Nike gift cards. It took me about 3 years to get enough gift cards to pay for an entire pair. Luckily, with the help of good friends, I've been able to do it twice.
Holy Grail and why:
I'd love to have the entire UNDRCRWN x Adidas collaboration collection. I just love how Undercrown was able to create unique colorways and details for each signature shoe in the collection. I already have the C-Billups one, but I'd love to get another pair of that.
Most despised footwear and why:
I don't really hate a brand or type of shoe, but if there's one thing I despise, it's a poorly constructed one. I don't like to treat my shoes like panties made from tissue paper - I want to be able to walk around in a sneaker without it falling apart from poor gluing. Nothing sucks more than rocking a PE that falls apart after a few wears.
Currently hunting for:
Vintage Pippen Vs (with extra sleeves to switch around), Flojos with the fluorescent colored straps, S. Carters, G. Units, and Magic 32s.
Changes or surprises I'm hoping for in the sneaker world:
I'd like to see Undercrown get a chance to do a colorway for the Mutombos by Adidas. I think they may be the only ones who can do a new colorway that's right for that shoe.
If I had to choose ONE pair to wear for the rest of my life, it would be:
I really really want to say my Dunk SB Shimizus because of the colorway, the fact that it looks even better dirtier, and the skull on the tag is just plain butter for me. I really want to say that. However, the Free Run 2s have been in constant rotation lately, and are making me question my choice.
Additional comments, shout-outs, big ups:
The best thing I got out of this thing is the many people I got to meet who also enjoy it as much as I do. The ones I've met are always great to talk to, and they've never made me feel excluded. To me, that's priceless.
And ladies - yoga pants and hightops are a killer combination. Don't stop.

A question for Parkz (by: Jay Crisologo): What is the most overrated shoe of all time?
Hmmmmm... Interesting question... haha! I'll give a cliche, simple answer... I'll have to say the Nike Air Yeezy II. Being an owner of them, I'll go ahead and start by saying that the quality of the soles are shit. I wore my Platinums for about 15 minutes before they started cracking. Also, I know it's ridiculously hard to keep soles (especially glowing soles) from yellowing, but my soles have already accumulated a plethora of yellow spotting and it hasn't even been a year! I'm actually a lover of yellowed Jordan soles (when naturally aged), but these Yeezy's spot irregularly, and not to mention, without having no age on them! Let us then talk about the hype... I'll start by saying Kanye West (or whomever birthed his marketing for these) is a genius! ...Yeezy's are and were definitely a top notch hype machine! I can't even imagine how many anxious, praying potential customers were drooling over these by the time they released. I've singled out the Yeezy II's because I own Yeezy I's and they have been perfectly good to me thus far; very happy with the construction and premium materials... Despite all these factors and notion of hype, I still love and respect the design of the Yeezy II. For those of you who disagree, you must admit that the silhouette is very original. Another thing I could go on about is the price tag, but I'm pretty sure we both know how meaningless and drawn out that conversation can get... LOL. Thanks for the question as I hope my answer entertained you!

Aloha all!
Hope all is well with everyone out there in the Sneaker World! Been a pretty busy week for me thus far, but it's looking like a fun lineup as far as releases go... To the few who are in line to get "Glow IV's" this morning, good luck! Also, great interview (below) this week with a very humble individual whose collecting traits I admire very much... Be sure to check it out!
LACEDUPHI | Maui, Hawaii (Event)
First of all, I know I'm a few weeks late with this, but I ran into a few good friends from About The Goods last night and thought it'd be cool to throw up a few pictures from the event. I regret not flying out for this as I got caught up last minute and couldn't hop on a plane... Although I missed it, I was not only  happy to hear that the event was successful, but that there's a strong sneaker community out in Maui as well! Also, caught a few FITTED hats in the event recap photos (above) that I found on the About The Goods site... Shouts to @werdupstu, @akkkinup808, @tittahbyte, and @took_hnla! Good people doing Good things... be sure to go check them out and peep the rest of the event coverage!
Hanon x Onitsuka Tiger Colorado 85 "Northern Liites"
Really diggin' this color way... Original, poppy, and clean. Pick em up at Hanon on the 31st...
Reebok Blacktop Battleground
Keep digging Reebok! These are looking funky (in a good way, of course)!
Nike Air Max Thea Woven
Wait... Are these womens or did Nike just answer my prayers for this silhouette in mens sizing?! The Atomic Red one is nasssty!
Nike Air Safari
I feel like the "sleepers" in every collection are just as important as the "heat." Here's a "sleeper" for you... Approve.
UNDFTD x CLOT x Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star
Three reputable names and one classic silhouette with a twist... Probably won't hunt these down, but that's enough to get me interested.
Vans DQM General Store Boston
Very cool.
Common Sense x New Balance MRL996SY
Bright and beautiful... This is a perfect example of the saying: "less is more." Get it at Caliroots on the 24th...
Kanye in Vans?!
Shared a good laugh with a buddy of mine about this (*inside joke)... WTAPS is just THAT dope (*outside NON joke). Ups to the hard-workers over there!

How many years I've been in an affair with sneakers:
circa 1996… so, 17 years-ish? It all started in middle school when our whole team decided to wear the same kicks for league: the Nike Air Penny 2 ‘Atlantic Blue’… Wow. <3
How many pairs I own:
According to my Excel spreadsheet? Exactly 143… Lol sometimes people assume I would have more, but growing older means growing responsibilities. And, with my wedding coming up later this year (November 9th!!! Ahh!!!), I’ve actually been selling quite a bit over the last year to prepare… It’s alright though. Quality > quantity.

Amazing sneaker-related story:
Idk about “amazing”, but it’s the funniest one I can remember… 2006. Defining Moments Pack. Southcenter Mall. Seattle, Washington. Foot Locker was located in the middle of the mall, which has eleventy billion entrances. Nobody knew which doors were gonna open first, so the lines were 100+ deep at every entrance. The mall doors finally open, the lines go to hell, and it’s every hypebeast for themselves in a mad dash towards the center of the mall. Along the way, you see the flood of sprinters from all the other mall entrances running towards the same store. This lady running in front of me trips, falls, rolls, her purse explodes its contents in the air, & she is immediately hurdled by 2 guys. Her son, without losing his stride, glances over his shoulder and yells “$#!*%, get up, Mom! We’re gonna lose!”… LMAO~ I nearly died of laughter... while sprinting… in Space Jams! Lol I may have missed out on the release that day but it’s making memories like that with lifelong friends that mean more to me than the shoes themselves. (And the kid who didn’t care about his mom’s well-being? He got the last pair in the store! Lol the thirst is real!)
Holy Grail and why:
Air Jordan “Space Jam” 11 (XI)… Loved the shoe. Loved the movie. Loved the soundtrack! Haha. Also, the movie came out during my 8th grade year, the shoes originally released during my Junior year, & those were the 2 years I was voted to be the basketball team’s captain. My jersey number both years? 11 (XI). Too perfect, right?! Sure, I have rarer stuff, but no shoe on the planet could mean more. In my opinion, your most prized shoe should be determined by factors other than just market value.
If I had to choose ONE pair to wear for the rest of my life, it would be:
Duh. Space Jams! Aside from the shoe’s nostalgia & obvious oozing sex appeal, you can wear a black/white shoe with everything, you can exercise in them, & the patent leather gives them a “classy” look for formal occasions! Besides, I can’t think of anything I’d rather be wearing when the zombie apocalypse happens. It’s aesthetically pleasing, nostalgia-inducing, & functionally versatile? Win-win-win.

Most despised footwear and why:
Lol I feel like there are some brands/styles I couldn’t pull off, but I don’t “despise” any footwear, really. Sneakers are one of the many ways people can express their individuality, so there’s really no reason for hate. To each, his own!
Currently hunting for:
A more appropriate question would be: “Currently hiding from…” Lol saving for a wedding is hard! In the “unobtainable” category, I would say: Ray Allen Air Jordan 5 (V) Player Exclusive “Home” version. In the “obtainable” category, I’m super stoked for the retro of the Nike Air Zoom Flight ’98 “The Glove”. Aside from Michael Jordan, I also grew up as a huge Gary Payton fan. Doing my undergrad & grad school work in Seattle only grew my affinity for the emerald city, so it’s only natural that I cop multiples of every colorway that comes out, right? Haha~ Save our Sonics!

Changes or surprises I'm hoping for in the sneaker world:
Honestly, I wish people would just stop bickering. At the end of the day, it’s just a hobby. They’re just shoes. It’s a luxury to have what we have. Stop thinking you’re better than the next guy because of what you have or what they don't. Use your resources to help others instead of bragging to make yourself feel important. Stop calling people “hypebeasts” to belittle them. We’ve all been bitten by the ‘hype bug’ at one point or another. Calling people names accomplishes nothing & you look like a douchebag. Stop whining about resellers. More people are into collecting than ever before & shoe companies don’t care how long you’ve been collecting, so stop acting like the world owes you something. Newbies’ money is just as green as yours. Work hard for what you want or pay the person who worked harder than you did.
If everyone stopped worrying about what everyone ELSE was doing, the sneaker world would be a better place. The only collection you should strive to be better than is the one you had yesterday.*
(*unless you’re saving for a wedding)
Additional comments, shout-outs, big ups:
I would like thank God first & foremost for making this possible… (Lol idk, I’ve just always wanted to say that) …Actually though, I am very thankful for having had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people through the sneaker scene. The first shout out goes to the vast Hawaii fam: #WahBap, HSS, HSH, & SGHI... that includes a throwback to all of you who remember the ISS Hawaii Thread & Forums Hawaii! Lol… Shout out to the Seattle fam: “GO DAWGS!” & “Save Our Sonics!”… Shout out to the global $.F.U. (Sneaker Fiends United) group. It’s an honor & a privilege to rep the squad. Seriously, every sneaker group needs to be like $.F.U. ~ the unselfishness I’ve seen in that group amongst complete strangers is unheard of… (a testament to the types of members in that group is the fact that 2 other members have already been featured on this blog!)
And, of course, big ups to Mr. JJ Parkz & Fitted for letting me share some of my story. I hope to meet more collectors through this blog & out in that crazy world of ours! Happy hunting, y’all!

A question for Parkz (by FJ Cruz): What made you start featuring different people on your blog?
Well FJ, I never really noticed how many great sneaker-related stories I was able to sift through within my memories until I actually sat down and gave it some thought (a week prior to releasing my first interview on this OSNT blog). While recalling a lot of both fun and rough times, I realized that sneakers meant a lot more to me than I expected; and not in such a materialistic way, but more of how the lifestyle had so many affects on my growth as a person. Collecting and loving sneakers has taught me so many minuscule things, but all those have added up and contributed to my character and everyday routines. Realizing this then led me to understand that I wasn't the only one who may have the same feelings toward sneakers. All in all, not to sound corny but I feel so close to my footwear... haha! Each of my pairs have a different story to tell, whether it's about where I've been, what I've done or accomplished in them, how I got them, etc. These are the stories I hope to capture in my interviews of fellow footwear lovers... It stems from nothing more than a strange passion and love for it all. Like many (including you) have mentioned in the interviews prior to this, we all seem to take away something from collecting sneakers that doesn't necessarily relate directly to sneakers (good friends, fond memories, etc.). On a second note, I also felt it was important to share interviews with specific people (like yourself) to show other existing "sneakerheads" the different values and perceptions we all have towards collecting. Lately, there seems to be a lot of judging in our "(sneaker) world" that is unnecessary and a waste of time. Maybe these interviews will leave lasting impressions on someone who may find something intriguing...? Lastly, these interviews hopefully entertain those who have no clue or idea about our specific passion. While everyone has their own hobby/lifestyle/passion, it's always interesting to grow knowledge or understanding of anything unknown, no matter how irrelevant it is to your life... Thanks for the question!
