It's been a while since I spent the day in the heart of Waikiki opting for the remoteness and tranquility that the west or north side of the island offers. I have to say that the change of locales was a pleasant surprise. Yes you do have all the trappings of a tropical tourist mecca but the natural beauty of Waikiki still reigns supreme.
